Anonymous Reader Rebutting Bangkok Post, Veera Prateepchaik

Dear Veera Prateepchaikul,

I could not help but noticed your comment which compelled me to respond to your article. I am not here to dispute whether Prime Minister Hun Sen said or did not say what you have described as Mr. Hun Sen's “latest antic” in your article. What truly unremarkable was when you ended your article by saying that, “ ...it will be him who will be the laughing stock in the world’s community.”

For your information, after Cambodia's last election, Mr. Hun Sen was constitutionally recognized as the Prime Ministers of Cambodia; therefore, he is.

The world knows and understands Mr. Hun Sen. In fact, it is safe to venture that the world would be surprised if he did not say what he has said.

The true laughing stock in the world's community was the act of some in your country who shamelessly used Preah Vihear as a political tool to gain popular supports. The judgment of the international court in 1962 provided clear decision about Preah Vihear.

Preah Vihear belongs to Cambodia. As a sovereign nation, we have the right to do with Preah Vihear as we see fit as a nation. It is none of your country's business.

The true laughing stock of the world's community is not Mr. Hun Sen; it is your shameless claim of territory that the world knows that it belongs to Cambodia.
